VICTOR MOSES rescued a point for Crystal Palace as the Eagles fought back to draw 1-1 at Ipswich on Saturday.

In a busy first half, Tommy Miller blasted narrowly wide of goal then Julian Speroni had to be alert to palm over Richard Naylor's close-range header.

Paul Ifill and MOSES went close for the Eagles, while Clint Hill scooped a shot over the bar with his weaker right foot and Nick Carle fired off target.

Neil Warnock's side fell behind in the 23rd minute when Jonathan Stead netted for the hosts.

Jon Walters was instrumental in a well-worked move on the left and he crossed to David Norris who dummied for Stead to slot into the corner from 10 yards.

But teenage forward MOSES equalised two minutes later after Ipswich goalkeeper Richard Wright fumbled a Ben Watson cross and MOSES headed in for his first goal of the season.

Palace, who included on-loan West Brom striker Craig Beattie in their starting line-up, should have snatched all three points but Watson shot wide from close-range in the second half.

Ipswich: Richard Wright, Bruce, Naylor, McAuley, David Wright, Norris (Garvan 57), Shumulikoski (Campo 71), Miller, Walters, Lisbie, Stead (Counago 62).

Not Used: Supple, Balkestein.

Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, McCarthy, Fonte, Hill, Carle (Fletcher 81), Watson, Derry, Ifill (Kuqi 68), MOSES, Beattie (Scannell 74).

Not Used: Lawrence, Oster.
